I recently had the honor of addressing our students on behalf of my SUNY Empire State University faculty colleagues at our commencement ceremony. Our graduates walked down the aisles of NYC's City Center, and I watched from the storied stage as their caps and gowns flowed gracefully as they took their seats. It was inspiring to see that majestic theater filled with families and friends beaming with pride as they shared in this special occasion. Speaking to our graduates, I felt the true significance of what we were celebrating, not just an achievement but a future rich with possibility, one they would now carry forth, making the world a better place.
